The Fight between the Israelis and Palestinians is playing a game of

                              CHECKERS.

    The Israelis and Palestinians are very hard to understand. They seem to be a game of checkers. The one who wins takes all of the power with him and the one who loses takes what he has left. As the game ends you can see which side defeated which. It is similar to the game of checkers because who ever wins get to decide or gain more power on decisions. The game of checkers is mostly about stragedy. "The one who plans for the future is the one who is going to be successful", my choir teacher always said. I chose this metaphor because of the way the game checkers and a war begin. At the start of war the one who comes up with a plan to defeat the opposite side is the one who will get (queened or king ed) or in other words,... gains respect from the other side. If one of the sides figure a way to defeat them in a much easier way. When the game is over the one who loses goes home empty handed and the one who wins rises to the top of respect!

Metaphor:The conflict in Isreal is a cemetary.I chose that metaphor for a couple of reasons.One of those reasons is because there is so much negative feeling around the grave yard.Also there are a lot of people that have died and that is what's happening in Isreal right now.Also it's sad thinking about all the people that are dead.So those are my reasons for that metaphor

Both sides pull, at times one seems to have the win, then they're suddenly pulled forward only to start tugging again. It takes too long and too much brute strength to win. Logic doesn't work because they don't really care for that. It's a fight between two veteran soldiers, in which a single move could be the latter, only they both haven't moved.
